KC Black Trans Safe House

Sponsored by Trans Women of Color Collective

Our Safe House is a community space for Black trans women healing from trauma and intimate partner violence. This resource provides cooked meals 3 times a day, access to computer labs and the internet, mentoring, peer counseling, hygiene kits and resource referrals.

Our work is led by the narratives, leadership and voices of our community members who exist at the nexus of state sanctioned violence. Sex workers, poor people, homelessness and folk experiencing housing insecurity, healing from trauma while deeply entrenched in complex, seemingly inescapable traumatic environments. Through healing and restorative justice, are building a network of trans, non-binary people of color who are entrepreneurs, consultants and content creators to share and cultivate economic empowerment and sustainable projects for us and by us.

For those who are in need of services, please contact us at 913-890-3395. We are available 24-7. Our safe house is confidential and not listed on any public domain for the safety of our community.
